Arcade Restorations:
Williams Paddle Ball
I was blown away to see this one.  What a piece of work.  A complete and total rip-off of Atari's Pong, but with a Williams pinball touch.  It is exactly the same size, shape, dimensions, and appearance as a Pong, only with that classic Williams pinball coin door.  This was the only Pong to ever have a "tilt" switch, and it was the only video game Williams made until Defender in 1980.  This cabinet is in amazing shape, and still has a bright Panasonic TV screen. This game is being donated to Philly Classic 5 to help them start to build a coin-op collection.
Atari Anti-Aircraft
One of the first games to use ROM graphics, this Atari classic was converted into the Atari 2600 game Air-Sea Battle.  This cabinet has great potential.  Complete marquee, bezel and good side art.  The front corners of this machine had been completely destroyed (broken off and missing).  I used fiberglass resin and body filler, a jig, and a ton of TLC and reconstructed the outer shape of the cabinet.  New T-molding and paint makes her as beautiful as she was new.  The game had both monitor and board problems as well as was missing the original step down transformer.  I installed a new switcher for the 5 Volts and currently am troubleshooting (using a color monitor as a tester until I can get a Motorola flyback) why the game will coin up but will not start.  More to come, but I am pretty sure this one gets the Basemet treatment (in other words, I'm keeping her around!).  There?s just something cool about seeing Atari's  address as Los Gatos, CA.
